Snowy Fun!

Since our snow storm on Friday we've had gorgeous sunny weather this weekend. We enjoyed some time outside in the beautiful snow each day.

Getting all bundled up. Nolan was excited to wear his snowpants again for the first time this season. He said, "Mom, take my picture. Dad, move out of the way!" He thought he looked pretty cool!

First things, first...snowballs!

We put this cozy white snowsuit on Brooks and wrapped him all up in his carrier so that he could hang with us outside.

The boys and I sitting in the snow! Poor Nolan's gloves were soaked and his hands were frozen!

Our neighbors are awesome! They all own nice snowblowers and are happy to snowblow our drive way or let us borrow them! The boys were chasing down Mark as he snowblowed our sidewalk!

They loved running back and forth down his paths!

Nolan was trying to catch the snowflakes on his tongue! He was bummed that you couldn't see snow on his tongue in this photo!

Playing on his sled before we headed to the hill.

We have the perfect size sledding hill at the park right up our street.
Daddy and Heathy had to plow out a path because we were the first to go sledding here on the fresh fallen snow.

The boys were true to form in how they participated and enjoyed our sledding adventure. Heath went right at it, Nolan was more hesitant. But in the end they both had fun. Too bad I was not prepared in the snow gear department. Heath did not have snow pants that fit him and Nolan did not have warm mittens that fit him. But they did pretty good despite some whiny cold, slippery, and wet moments.
ready to head down the hill again

love these pictures

trudging back up the hill

This time he came down all by himself! So brave!

waiting for big brother to come down

Here comes Nolan...
plowing down the hill

eyes closed!

Daddy pushing Nolan down all by himself this time!

He closed his eyes all the way down and just about took me out at the bottom of the hill! This was his face looking down on his mommy that went "splat" into the snow! He thought that was the best part!

And here's what Brooks did the whole time! Sleeping at the top of the hill.

Happy faces after our sledding fun. We let them ride in the back of the Pilot as we drove up the street to the little snow hill at the park. Of course they wanted to ride this same way back home. And then Nolan asked if he could ride in the back on the way to the grocery store too! Sorry bud! But it was a fun little treat for the 1 block drive to go sledding!

Nolan and Daddy sitting in Nolan's "snow chair" just before we went inside to warm up. He liked to just plop himself down into the little piles of snow along our driveway and just sit!

Later that night we promptly headed to Walmart in search of some better snow gear. We sure scored: $6.99 for Heath's snowpants and $3.67 for Nolan's new warm mittens!

After being cooped up in the house a bit too much, Sunday Morning we were ready to get back out in the snow and sunshine and burn off some energy...
Mark kept trying to take my picture. This was the best I would give him. I had just rolled out of bed and wasn't looking too hot, not that I ever do! Ha!

Nolan kept throwing snow up into the air and saying, "It's Christmas" or "Santa time". Funny boy! He wanted me to do it too.

The snow was kind of icy and broke off in big chunks.

We buried his legs in the snow and when Mark came out we said, "Nolan's legs are missing! Ahh!" Then Nolan popped them out and said, "Surprise"! His little creative mind is too cute! He always comes up with these funny ideas!

Nolan and our snowball, who he named, "Fozzy"! The snow just wasn't packing very well, so we gave up on our snowman after the bottom ball. But I think Nolan was just as happy with this cute guy as he would have been with a full snowman. He doesn't really love actually building the snowman, he really likes putting the pieces in.

Whipping more snowballs at me! He got me good right in the face. I was not prepared! Ha!

I took Heathy for rides up and down the snowy and icy street in this little baby sled.

our little stud

And of course we had to take one of little Brooks all bundled up! He was a good sport this weekend, all bundled up, sleeping away in his carrier while we played. Someday our 3 boys will have so much fun playing together in the snow independently and I can be inside sipping my hot Starbucks, reading a book in front of the fire. Someday, right?! But I'm glad that I can make these fun memories with them now.

Cute pics! I'll have to talk with you about what boots/snow pants you have of ours...I have no idea what sizes we have and if there are any that will fit Landon. It's been a while!
