My Mom, very generously, offered to fly back to Colorado with us on our way home from Chicago to help me with the boys since Mark had left to go back to work a few days earlier. I was so thankful! Flying really is getting easier and easier. Less baggage, more independence, etc. But Brooks is still the wild card. He doesn't like watching movies, so he is busy the entire time! He's not bad or screechy, but he is a lot of work!
Thank goodness he and I had a row to ourselves! We could spread out! And these three were just as easy as could be!
Running at the Denver airport!
We didn't have many plans for my Mom's trip, but we always manage to fill up our time…fast!
Cookie Baking is always a favorite Grandma Tradition!
And of course reading is too! They were reading while they were waiting for the dough to chill.
Rolling out the dough for sugar cookies!
They love picking out which cutters to use!
They are experts at it now! This time we used up all the old random sprinkle colors we had left.
Notice the PILE of white sugar on Heathy's H? He's our sweet tooth for sure!
And this time Brooksie even got in on the action!
He loved it!
And was the Naked Baker! {Potty Training at it's finest!}
It's fun when he decides to join in on activities with his big brothers! This kid has a mind of his own!
Sprinkler fun one night!
Of course we had a few pool days...
Nolan getting a big DUMP!
Grandma was here to see Nolan lose his first top tooth!
Oops! The Tooth Fairy was LATE! So she gave Nolan an extra Quarter! What a nice Fairy she is! {wink, wink}
And as always my Mom took each boy out on a date of their choosing.
Heathy chose bagels and smoothies for breakfast at Panera.
Nolan chose a Happy Meal lunch at McDonalds.
Nolan was excited to use his Tooth Fairy Quarter for a warm apple pie for dessert! He is usually a saver so I thought it was so cute that he came up with this idea!
And Brooks went to Sonic for a little Happy Hour Slushee!
Grandma also took the two big boys on a movie date to see Planes Fire and Rescue! They were treated to another movie at the theater with the comfy, reclining, leather seats! It was Grandma's first time at this theater!
And of course we had to take Grandma to our favorite family activity...
Costco! Churros for all!
Some more sprinkler time...
This time with Grandma!
It looks like she is dragging Nolan here, but really, he's just leaping with joy! Ha! He loves it!
Playing catch with a Noodle with Brooksie.
More cookie baking later in the week. This time Grandma taught the boys how to make Peanut Butter Cookies.
They became criss crossing masters!
Grandma also got to see the boys play in 2 baseball games!
They look so cute with their biggest fan!
So all of those pictures are from our life around the house during Grandma Week! I have a few more posts of some fun activities that we did with her…coming soon!
