May Fun!

May was a busy month for us as we wrapped up a bunch of stuff at 3 schools and church! And I'm once again so far behind in blogging, so I'm going to throw a bunch of stuff into this loooong post.

The boys and I had another great year of Tru on Wednesday nights at church. For the past two years (Awana &Tru) I have been Nolan's teacher. But this year he moved up to the Kindergarten room and Heath was old enough to join us. So I got to be Heath's classroom teacher this year! They loved being able to come together for our large group Big God Story each week. But it was also fun for them to be able to have some small group time apart as well with kids their own age.

Tru is a great program that goes through the Bible in chronological order. The kids learn about God's  love and faithfulness. They learn Bible verses and sing praise songs. Most of all, they enter into a relationship with Him. We pray that our boys know that they can talk to God about anything at anytime. That they turn to Him for comfort and strength and thank Him for all of the blessings they have. We pray that they love God and love others. Wednesday nights have been such a blessing to me as I have been able to watch them grow in their faith.

We had a short and simple {and VERY unrehearsed}, little program to celebrate a fun year of Tru! Mark came to celebrate with us and see the boys sing some songs. Here are a few pictures and videos from parts of the program.

The boys were so funny! They sang and danced their little hearts out! We did our program in the community room, which was new to them, and they were amazed by the large screen overhead. They kept watching the words and graphics above.

These little video clips Mark took make me laugh. I just pray that they are always unashamed of their love of God!

After singing, we passed out some awards to all of the participants.
Nolan receiving his certificate from his teachers.

And I got to give Heath his.

Then we ate some snacks and watched the older kids present.

SO proud of my guys!

We went out for shakes as a special treat afterwards!

Later that weekend we had some more fun at the Antelope Ridge Spring Fling!
Snow Cones

The boys always love the games...

Bouncy house fun...

Nolan thought he was so cool waiting in line all by himself. He didn't want me to stand with him after awhile…he wanted to do his own thing.

Showing off their prizes!

After a busy day the boys were MORE THAN happy to plop down on Uncle D.J.'s new couch and watch a movie while us adults socialized at Supper Club.

And we rounded out the week with a little Leensvaart fun to celebrate Rick's Birthday. We went to a little winery in Evergreen.
We munched on this antipasto platter and drank wine and talked and laughed. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful location. But the company was the best part of all!

I am so thankful for these fun girls!

And I guess these boys are pretty cool too! Mark and I definitely enjoyed some kid free time! Thank you B&B for watching the boys for us!

Fingers crossed... I'll be posting every day this week to get caught up!
