Heath had a great first school experience this year! He really surprised us with his confidence, sharp mind, and fun spirit! He is a bright and sweet boy. He loves his brothers, but school was so good for him to have something that was all his. A new school, new teachers, his own friends.
We really liked South East Christian, but went back and forth all year about whether or not to send him there again next year or to start him at Mammoth Heights' Preschool. In the end we really felt like God was leading Heath back to South East again next year. So he'll go two morning again next year as well. He really learned so much about the Bible, he was loved on so well, and his little heart just soaked in all that God was teaching him through his teachers and friends there. So it will be good for him to go back to a familiar place again before starting at Mammoth for Kindergarten.
For his last week of school we prepared some thank you gifts for his teachers...
I found this cute printable on Pinterest of course.
They showed it attached to a Starbucks cup with a gift card inside, which would have been even cuter, but more work than I had time for!
So we just slipped the sleeve and gift card into envelopes and it was as easy as can be. Heath is starting to show an interest in writing so he wanted to give their names a try: Miss Nancy and Miss B.
His last day at school was a Water Day! He was so happy to wear his suit and bring his towel and squirt bottle to school that morning.
And then his official last day was a picnic at a local park. I surprised him with a few goodies that morning to celebrate his hard work at school this year.
He felt really special that only HE got presents that morning and not his brothers!
Here he is, ready to go to his picnic...
Last Day…hooray! Isn't he just the cutest thing?
A Police Officer on a horse was riding through the park. This was a big hit with all of the preschoolers!
Heath and his friend Lincoln played HARD!
He thought he was really cool doing this!
These four were good little friends this year. From Left to Right: Heath, Matthew, Lincoln, Camden
Tackling in the field- boys will be boys.
It was a really fun morning. I had to leave early to get to school that afternoon, so Mark and I switched kiddos at the park. They ate lunch and then headed to Oma's for the afternoon. We were sad to say goodbye to his teachers and friends, but we were so ready for one less run around in the mornings for the last two weeks of school for Nolan and I.
Heath Tyler…we are so proud of you for your accomplishments at school this year. Always work hard. Always be kind. Always be brave. With your determined attitude, quick mind, and charming smile- you will go far kid! We know it! We LOVE you!!!

Adorable boy!! I love the first friendships kids form when they are on their own at school. Such a fun last week for him and I love the towel he brought for water day! ;)
