Last weekend we celebrated Mark's 33rd Birthday!
We started off the festivities by cheering on the Broncos and hoping for a big win!
Wouldn't that have been an excellent birthday present?
We all had our gear on and were hyped up!
Mark and I got his favorite take out for lunch- Panda Express!
The boys were resting for the beginning of the game but got up in time to root them on during the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Heath woke up crabby and demanded to be held! He doesn't look it in this picture, but the whining was in full effect. If I even attempted to put him down, the beast went wild! Ha!
Nolan was so cute! He was cheering and asking a million questions and was glued to the t.v. He and his Daddy watched intently throughout the nail biting game. When things weren't looking so good and we stopped cheering, Nolan said to us, "If you aren't going to cheer with me, then you can't watch anymore!" He never lost heart!
The two of us did as the game went on and on and on.
And sadly, the Broncos did NOT pull out the win!
So Mark and I went out to drown our sorrows! And to celebrate his big day with margs and chips and salsa!
It was so nice to have some time out with just this handsome fella! Thanks Barb & Bruce for watching the boys for us...at our house! Even better! That way they were all in bed when we got home and we didn't have to take them out in the below zero temps!
The next morning was Mark's real birthday- January 13th!
Of course, a birthday isn't a birthday without the Birthday Chair. And sadly, I had planned what was supposed to be a fun way to celebrate the Broncos big win- a Bronco themed chair! Only it was quite depressing to wake up to instead. But I researched great Broncos of the past and printed out their pictures to adorn the chair. And I dedicated it to our "Star Quarterback" from his, "Tight end, Safety, Middle Linebacker, and Nickleback". If you think about each descriptor, they are quite perfect for us! Ha!
The boys LOVE their Daddy SOOOOOO much!
They had fun helping him open his gifts.
Heath picked out the card...can you tell?
And Nolan addressed it.
He got a Hoverbar for his ipad and some new clothes.
That afternoon Mark went to a movie with Ernie and then we had his birthday dinner at his parents house that evening.
The birthday boy requested Breakfast for dinner, so we feasted on eggs and pancakes and sausage. All of the kids were quite happy with his choice!
After we ate, it was time for some gifts.
Payton wrote a cute and funny card for her Uncle Marky!
He got a new tape measure because he lost his old one.
All the kids always love to help with gifts...
and candles!
Mark always loves a "moist chocolate cake",
so that's what he got!
It was a fun weekend of celebrating this great man!
Mark,
We all love you so much and are so thankful for you!
You bring such fun and life to our family!
You provide, you encourage, you laugh, you challenge.
Here's to another great year!
Muah!
