Brooksie's Birthday Take 2

My family has hosted a first birthday party for each of our boys. This time it was Brooks' turn!
The invitation.

We have held them all in St. Peter's Great Room.

The Birthday boy smiling, surrounded by gifts, cake, and balloons! Each of my family members jumps in to help out with the party. My Mom baked his cake, bought cake pops and prepared goodie bags. {Really, she did so much more!}My sister did the invitations and made the cupcakes, my brother bought the balloons, and my Dad did some of the grocery shopping and logistics. I love how much they love our kids that they do this for them!

He is so photogenic!

And look who surprised me and came for this special day!
The Sloothaak fam made the drive down to Chicago for the day. This was so so so so amazing! Thanks Mallory for helping arrange this. And thank you Jill and fam for coming. We have always wanted to be able to celebrate our kids birthdays together...and we finally did!

There were lots of cute little touches.

And a lot of fun family members came to celebrate!

We had yummy Italian beef, mostacholi, hot dogs, and a bunch of tasty sides!

Here are my sister's cupcake masterpieces! She made the frosting and chocolate toppers from scratch! She got a professional cake decorating tool kit for Christmas and put that sucker to use! She did such an incredible job! They were so delicious too!

Ha! This picture just makes me laugh!

Brooksie's smash cake!

We held the party on Nolan's actual birthday, so we sang happy birthday to him as well! He was a good sport about sharing his special day.

I think he liked it!

And he was MORE than spoiled with so many great gifts. Clothes and toys and money and more!

The kids all had a great time running around and playing together.

We snapped this great family picture!

Jill and I were so happy to have a little more time together, so we had to get another picture to document the fun!

The Sloothaaks were very thoughtful and brought Nolan a birthday gift. A Lions t-shirt and a new c.d. of songs to sing in the car!

After the busy party we came home to play with all of his new stuff! Laura got him these fun balls. This kid could never have too many of them!

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate this special boy! We love him soooo much and feel honored that you do too!
