When Nolan turned three my parents treated him to a fun time at Build-a-Bear Workshop. We thought that this would be a great tradition to continue with Heath, so he had been looking forward to this day for over a month since his birthday.
And of course, since Heath would be making an animal, Nolan wanted to make one too, so he and Grandma decided that this could also be his present for his 5th birthday.
The whole family came to watch these two cute boys make their animals!
They walked in and had picked out just the perfect animal within seconds!
Heath picked out a cat of course.
And Nolan chose another brown puppy.
Heath enjoyed stepping on the pedal to stuff his cat. He chose a heart and then was super shy interacting with the worker. Grandma jumped in and helped him do all his tasks to fill his animal with love. Grandma recorded a sweet birthday message to stuff inside the cat. She did this with Nolan's original puppy, Fluffy, as well. It is so special to be able to press a button and hear Grandma's voice anytime they want! Heath thinks it's extra funny that at the end of Grandma's message she says, "Go Cubs!"
After Heath made his cat, it was Nolan's turn. He stepped right up like an expert! He likes his stuffed animals to be floppy, so that's just the way he made him!
Then it was bath time for the newest Jansen family members! Pets, just the way we like them- stuffed!
The boys had fun naming their animals and making birth certificates for them. Heath named his cat "Greenie" because he has green eyes. And Nolan named his puppy "Puddles" because he looks just like his favorite animal, "Puddles", from our Guess Who game.
We left with two very happy little boys and two very cute furry friends! Thank you Grandpa & Grandma for this fun tradition and their special gifts!
