Go Marlins!

Heath played his 3rd season of i9 baseball this summer!
He has grown leaps and bounds as a ball player since he started at age 3!
He has had his Daddy as a Coach each season! But this was his first season of Coach Pitch!

i9 is a nice summer league for young players because it is just one day a week- practice for 45 minutes with a 45 minute game following.

This season, two of Heath's preschool friends were on his team and Mark's boss' son joined the team as well. It was fun to have a bunch of boys on the team that we knew.

Heath did great hitting this season! I think he only needed the tee for 1 at bat. (Each batter got about 5 pitches and then if they didn't get a hit, they could hit off the tee.)
Love his wide stance!

You could really tell that the players were getting older and more skilled. They didn't all chase the ball when out on the field. They stayed in their positions and had a better idea of where to throw the ball when it came their way.

Look at the JOY on his face! He was having the BEST time!

He did a great job listening to his Coach!

And he felt pretty proud of himself as well!

i9 focuses on character development as well as skill development.
Heath won an award for communication out on the field. He earned it one of the weeks that Grandma was there to watch! We were so proud of the way that he cheered on his team mates and encouraged and talked on the field! He stayed much more engaged on the field this year.

Auntie & Flobby were also able to make it to a few games after they moved to Colorado!

Still working on running the baseline!

Running HOME!

Love this pic! (Being sure to touch the base was a skill that was practiced a lot this summer! Ha!)

Playing 3rd!
Love his ready position!

Our #3 on deck!

For the last game of the season, i9 always does a fun fan tunnel to cheer the players out onto the field!
The boys love running through the banner!

Celebrating a great season!

Go Marlins!

Pizza party on the last day!

Kiptyn has played on Heath's team for a few seasons now. His Mom has been very kind to Mark and has always requested his team!

TEAM PHOTO!

We are super proud of our baller and can't wait to play again in the Spring!

This little guy wants to get in on the action next year as well!
Oh man, 3 playing at the same time…wish me luck! I think their Daddy will be in heaven!
