I did not sit down the entire night! Not once. The reception was that much fun!
It had a very easy feel. Eat, chat, drink, dance, toasts, cake, dance, mingle, dance, dance, dance! There was not assigned table seating. People were encouraged to mix and move throughout the night, get some food, stop for a drink, have some cake, dance, talk, and laugh. And that we did.
Tyler and Laura had their first dance to a love song that was actually written by the artist to her dog. How very fitting.
Laura's dad greeted everyone with an Irish Blessing.
And then Dr. Johnson took the mic. "Take advantage of everything we've got going here." And that we did!
The boys loved their gourmet mac 'n cheese, fruit on stick, rolls, and antipasto! But what they loved the most were their cups of cherries from the Bartender. He let them fill up cups of maraschino cherries to munch on throughout the night! That was a hit!
Steven and Mark wore the same tie! Ha! Kohls baby!
My Mom said some sweet words to T & L.
And the Mother/Son dance was to a Beatles song.
Then Eric gave his Best Man speech. And there was not a dry eye in the room. He was incredibly nervous and so heart felt and so thoughtful. It was perfect. So touching. Cheers to the "noblest man I know." How true.
This is what Nolan and Heath thought of the speeches. They were already worn out. Ha!
But as soon as the music started they hit the floor!
It was like those shiny black shoes turned them into little dancing machines! They were crazy and amazing and so cute and so funny! I could go on and on about their dancing. Too bad that we did not get a good video. I didn't want to stop the moment to pull out my phone. But their hats were flying and legs were twisting and hips were shaking. It was the best. Truly one of my favorites moments with them EVER.
I did take this quick video of Nolan dancing with Mark's mom. It was so sweet. And we were so happy that his parents could join us for this wedding too. They were a wonderful help to us with the boys, but it was also fun for them to get to know my extended family better...I love them so much and I want everyone else to as well! :)
Then it was time to cut the cake...
it was beautiful.
Too bad I didn't get to taste any. I was so busy the entire night I barely ate a thing. Hence why I had a VERY good night. Little food & yummy drinks = FUN, FUN, FUN.
Tyler and Laura treated guests to a super fun photo booth. Here are some of our pics...

i love you mr. 5!
Gussie Girls! Love this group of FUN, FUNNY women!
After a few trips to the photo booth the boys danced some more and played underneath the tablecloths and ran around and had the best time.
Meanwhile, so did the adults!
The dance floor was packed all night.
We had fun gettin' down with Aunt Kathy!
And of course we did "The Wobble".
Go Randy Go!!! Go, go, go! Go Randy, go, go! Randy be good! Such a fun moment from the evening.
Johnson guys...
and gals.
Flobby keeping Brooksie entertained.
The boys winding down.
And then they put on a movie. Heath fell asleep immediately.
Sadly, the dancing had to come to an end and we had to wave goodbye to the newlyweds! So, we headed downstairs for the grand exit.
And we took this epic elevator selfie on the way down. Uncle Jeff, Barbie, Aunt Kathy, Mal, Bob, myself, and some strangers! So funny.
Of course we had to take another on the ground floor. Ha! Think we took enough selfies?
Once we got outside they passed out sparklers.
Such a gorgeous send off for the happy couple!
It was a magical evening full of joy!
Thank you Tyler and Laura for throwing an awesome bash! We love you both and can't wait to see your future unfold. We are honored to be a part of it and pray for much health and happiness in your years ahead!
