On July 13th we closed on both our old house and our new house! Yippee! Everything from the sale of our house in 1 day, to the finding of our new house, to moving, happened in just over a month! Crazy! But we are soooo happy that we took advantage of super low interest rates and moved into our FOREVER HOME!
Here are the boys eating a quick lunch waiting to get into the house to check over all the inspection requests that the previous owners had fixed. We have spent A LOT of time on our new front porch already! It's funny, because at our old house we spent most of our time on our deck and in our backyard. At our new house we are always out front socializing with neighbors and playing with all the kids in the neighborhood! There sure are A LOT of them! It's super fun for our boys to have so many friends so close by! There isn't a day that goes by that our doorbell isn't ringing with kids asking if our boys can come out to play! And our house seems to be the meeting ground! The kids are always outside playing t-ball, drawing with chalk, and riding bikes and scooters! There are a lot of girls in the neighborhood, but they are so sweet to our guys. Makayla is a tomboy and is so happy that 3 boys moved in right across the street from her! She has loved playing t-ball, Star Wars, and Toy Story with Nolan and Heath. And then there's James, oh James, it will be interesting having him live just up the cul-de-sac. He is an interesting kid for sure!
July 14th was the big moving day! We got a big truck and were able to move most of our things in just 2 trips over the the new house! We were thankful that the drive was only about 5 minutes from one house to the next. So we took a bunch of car rides over to drop off little things that didn't really work to put in boxes.
Nolan and Ella playing in the truck!
Brady drove with Mark to return the truck at the end of the day!
The truck and a sneak peek at the house. I haven't taken a photo of the house yet, believe it or not!
The boys, and their cousins, have LOVED playing in all of the boxes we have unpacked!
They have played animals in cages in them.
They have played hide and seek and jumped out to surprise the seeker!
They have made them into houses!
And they have been the perfect place to cuddle up and watch a show!
Nolan loves bringing toys inside! Toys are so much more fun in a box! Ha!
Their imaginations have run wild with just simple boxes!
Well, all of the boxes are now unpacked! I just can't live with things out of order! We are in the decorating stage now and trying to figure out where to hang things on the walls. Mark has hung blinds in every single window. And the garage is the last big project for him. He need to put up our shelves and peg board and organize all the tools, sporting goods, and lawn stuff!
We are loving our new home and say a prayer of thanks every night that God has given us the means to have such a wonderful place to live. Our back deck has a gorgeous view of the mountains and we can't help but marvel daily at his beautiful creation! He is so good!
Thank you to everyone who helped us move! We are so blessed to have such great family and friends who spent their weekends lifting and moving heavy boxes, assembling furniture, sweeping and vacuuming our floors, watching our children, and giving us organizing advice! We really appreciate it!
I'll get some pictures of the outside and inside soon!
