September was a fun and busy month!
It started out with my Birthday!
Mark did a great job decorating my Birthday chair this year- Big Brother Style!
I LOVED it! (And I LOOOOOOOVE that show!)
The boys each picked out something to give me. Heath gave me flowers.
And he made me this sweet card too!
The flowers were absolutely stunning!
Nolan knew that I would LOVE a Starbucks gift card, so he got me that.
And Brooks told Mark that he wanted to get me cookies! So that's what I got! Too sweet!
He was also very proud of the SUPER MOMMY card they picked out!
Mark also picked out this super cute Aldo computer bag for me to carry back and froth to school each day. I LOVE it!
We celebrated my birthday with presents, Skyping, Taco Salad, and a Strawberry Cake! Mallory & Bob went out of their way to cook and bake me just what I wanted on my special day.
It was such a nice night!
Then that weekend Mark and I had a date night courtesy of our live in babysitters- Mallory & Bob. We visited the jeweler to work on my Grandma's ring, shopped at the mall, and then we had an AMAZING steak dinner at Del Fresco's. I had been wanting to go there FOREVER…and Mark finally took me. And it was everything I imagined it to be! We had wine, warm bread, calamari, steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread pudding, and chocolate mousse. They even sent me home with birthday cheesecake too! Delish! And after that whole wonderful date night, I only took two pictures. One was a selfie for Jill…I was sporting my new birthday necklace from her.
And one was of a piece of calamari...
Ha! It just was the perfect squidy shape!
I should have taken a picture of Mark and I, or of the restaurant, but I must have just been soooo enamored with my date that I didn't even think to snap a pic. (wink, wink)
Just a funny picture he wanted me to take one morning...
"Mommy…take my picture here." O.k. Brooks!
My parents sent the boys an awesome surprise package! It was full of fun stuff! But my favorite part was this note from my Dad! Love seeing his handwriting and hearing his sweet words to his grandsons!
These two announced some BIG news this month!
She's making me an Auntie again!
Woo hoo!
CU/CSU party at the VanDusseldorp's!
There were a LOT of kids!
It was WILD & CRAZY!
But everyone had a ton of fun!
I don't think that I watched more than 5 seconds of the game. But CU won! So these two were happy!
Just a random Sunday wearing old Halloween costumes and watching football!
Dinner at the Vogels new house in Highlands Ranch! We are so happy that they moved here! More friends from home! We love them!
Getting into the spoooooky spirit!
Grandma and Grandpa Johnson have bought the boys all of the old Charlie Brown Peanuts movies! So we are all super excited about the new Peanuts movie that is coming out in theaters this November! So when we saw this app, we had to Peanutize ourselves!

We think they are pretty cute!!! And the boys thought it was super fun!
The Chapparall Homecoming parade is always a fun neighborhood event! The boys get more candy in 20 minutes at the parade than they do during the whole night of Halloween! They LOVE it!
I had a Friday off and got to take the boys to school in the morning!
We had a nice walk. And I enjoyed dropping them off to their lines!
Nolan and Jayden before school!
When I was dropping Brooks off at school I spotted a little cutie on their advertisement! The cutest little umbrella man I ever did see!
Go Cubs Go! The Cubs are a Wildcard in the playoffs!!!! Yes!
Babysitting the Leensvaarts- Jack and Brooks had the best time playing together all night! These 2 preschool boys went non stop all night!
Pete the Cat- Heath the Kindergartner style!
A letter from the sweetest Pen Pal!
Brooks is a child of God! Love his Preschool crafts.
Three cute boys ready to head to school!
Mark does a good job of getting them ready and out the door in the mornings!
He got to go on a field trip with Nolan to the Platte River.
They walked in the river and scooped up crawdads in nets.
Mark, Nolan, and Reilly
Learning about the river formation. They had a great time!
Shopping at Old Navy! This kid always has to stop and say hi to the puppy!
Daddy did the St. Jude's 5k with his company. While he was there he spotted Anna and Elsa. He knew Brooks would love to see them, so he asked them for a picture!
Dads & Donuts in Brooks' Preschool Class
This cutie LOVES donuts & LOVES his Daddy even more!
And finally, our month ended on a great note! Nolan got a 2nd grade award for doing his Personal Best! We were so proud of him! We pray that our boys will always work hard even when no one is watching…but it does feel good when your attitude and "life skills" are recognized! We love you Nolan!!! Keep it up!
