Snowy Fun

We had a lot of snow around here over Winter Break. It was perfect timing for it. We could stay inside and cuddle up. Or we could bundle up and head out for some fun!
The boys all working together to shovel the driveway.

Our snow angels...

Heading out for some sledding...
We have a great hill right by our house at Chaparral High School.

The boys LOVE their new sleds.

Love Heath's expression in this picture- bracing himself over a bump!

This guy is funny when he sleds. He just goes down. No expression. Not a smile or a cry. Maybe unsure about what he really thinks of sledding.

Mark and I have a lot of fun too!

We ended up going sledding a few times over break until most of the snow was gone.

This video is a little crazy, but it makes me laugh. Heath and I went down the hill with our sleds linked and I recorded our way down.

One day, Mark took the older boys to the steeper part of the hill and they went sledding for a couple of hours and even did some snow ramps too! They had a blast and didn't come home until dark!

We also went up to Auntie Sue's Lodge one day. Sue recently purchased a small house 2 doors down from the cabin, that we now, lovingly, call "the Lodge".
We bundled up and had some snowy fun here too.
We went sledding right out the back door. It was fast and ungroomed and a wild ride!
We took out Uncle Brad and Arie!

So we went on a walk to find some other good sledding locations. This one was just o.k….bumpy with a crash landing.

Cohen and Uncle Brad had a great time in the snow!

When we got back to the lodge we were greeted by some carolers…Oma, Opa, Jim, & Nancy!

The boys spotted some deer out of Aunt Sue's bedroom window.

We warmed up by the fireplace! We are so happy for Sue and look forward to making many more family memories at her new "lodge"!

It was so nice to have snow when we actually had time off to play in it!
