a little of this... a little of that: Christmas Season

To say we've had a busy couple of weeks would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! Here is a random assortment of photos of our life these days.
Look where I found these two, one morning. I'm always finding them hiding out together. This day it was in the corner, underneath the Christmas Tree. Another day this week, it was in the shower, "playing beach"! Oh my! Just as long as we aren't finding them there in 14 years!

My Women's Group Favorite Things Christmas Party!
Love these ladies!

We had to think of one of our favorite things, under $5, and bring it for each of the members of our group. It was super fun to come home with 6 fun new "favorites"!

On Friday night, we hosted a Christmas party for all of our school friends and their other halves!
After such a SAD day on Friday, it was so nice to be surrounded by people that we love. To have fun, to laugh, to chat, and to laugh some more!

I can not tell you enough about how blessed I have been for the past 10 years to teach with these fabulous women! They are some of my best friends, and I LOVE that our husbands are such great friends too!

On Saturday, we celebrated the 1st birthday of Brooks' best bud, Jack! We love this dude so much! He had a puppy themed party, which was perfect for their family! His Mommy did a great job hosting and putting on the party for his big day!

And because I haven't had the chance to post these yet, here are our Santa pics from this year! We had such a fun family Christmas party, put on by Mark's company, National Cine Media. They do such a fabulous job and are so generous. We are so thankful that he works for such a great company, who still finds it so valuable, to give back to their employees.
Nolan was super excited to meet Santa this year. He went running into his lap!
He promptly told him that he wanted a "Batcave".

Heath did a great job too.
He was a little shy, but smiled nicely and told Santa that he wanted a "big Woody"! Sounds funny, huh?! To be more specific...a large Toy Story Sheriff Woody. Ha!

Brooks was as happy as could be to have someone snuggle him. He doesn't care who it is!

The boys got candy canes from Santa and goody bags full of lots of great toys: Angry Birds, a Rex flashlight, a Lighting McQueen toy, the snuggliest puppy blankie, and a bunch of yummy treats!

We stopped by the balloon elves for some fun creations.

Nolan wanted a duck.

Heath got a "blue puppy".

And we had a fun breakfast together as a family. After breakfast, the kids were treated to a screening of "The Rise of the Guardians". Mark stayed with the boys and I did a little Christmas shopping with Brooksers. They all really enjoyed the movie, and Mommy had a great time doing a little shopping on her own!

This is such a fun, yet super busy time of year! We are having a blast, but also really trying to remember to rest in God's hope and peace.

A few more posts coming soon!
