I am often amazed when I look at my boys as to how much they seem to grow and change every day! Nolan just had his 2 year well check at the doctor! And he is still proving to be quite the big boy! Here are his stats:
Height: 37 1/2 inches- he's off the charts tall!
Weight: 33.2 pounds (94%)
Head circumference: 48.8 cm (55%)
He is getting to be so independent and is understanding so much now! Some of his favorite things to do these days are: doing Playdough, playing Memory- finding matches with the cards facing up or naming all of the pictures he sees, working at his tool bench, and of course he still loves reading book after book after book. It's so funny to hear him read them, he has memorized a lot of the lines, or can finish sentences that I start reading! He loves to name the colors of everything and when Uncle Wes asked him what his favorite color was, he said "brown". He is also an amazing helper, the other day his book ripped and I asked him how we should fix it. He said "tape" and he ran to the kitchen, opened the drawer, took out the tape, and brought it back to me. I didn't know he even knew what tape was, let alone where to find it! We just laugh and smile constantly at how bright he is becoming!
Heath, as well, is getting to be such a big, little guy! He is wearing size 1 diapers, and moving into some 0-3 month clothing. Gone is the newborn stage! He is staying awake a lot more during the day and sleeping better at night- giving us occasional 5 hour sleep stretches! He is not on any type of schedule during the day though! He just goes along for the ride, sleeping in his car seat at Target, or running to the grocery store with us. He's pretty flexible- which is awesome for us, because Nolan needs to be entertained and kept active during the day. Heath is doing a better job at keeping his head up when held, although wobbly, he likes to be held up tall and look around. His hair is still pretty dark and his eyes are still big and dark blue! Sometimes I think he resembles Nolan and other times he looks like his own little person!
I am enjoying my days at home and loving having time to stay on top of cleaning, laundry, errands, and of course reality t.v.! Here are some recent pictures from life around the house!
Doing some tummy time while Brother supervised. I was taking pictures of Heath, and Nolan had to get in on the action with his super CHEESY smile! What a ham! Think he's like his Daddy much? (See below!) All the ladies love it...actually they do...he picked up 3 teenage girls at dinner on Saturday night with his charming looks and Chuck Taylor's!
