Opening Day of the baseball season is approaching and Mark could not be more excited! A crisp spring day, a Rockie Dog, and a good game is all he needs. Now he has a son to enjoy it with! It will be fun to see them share in this love over the years! Go Rockies! And of course we'll be cheering for my Cubbies too!
Nolan and I have been trying to make the most of our last few days at home together. I go back to school on Monday. My 3 month maternity leave has flown by and every single second of it has been wonderful! We have loved sleeping in late, cuddling on the couch, talking to each other in babbles, visiting with Daddy at lunch, and learning so many new things. Here's a picture from lunch this week with Dad. He likes to do all sorts of silly things with Nolan and always keeps us laughing! And the video is of Nolan's latest homework...practicing lifting his head!
So this Mommy and Daddy have finally decided to get their booties off the couch! We will be running in a 10k on Memorial Day with our good friends- Uncle E and Auntie Kim. So we knew the day would be coming when we would have to start our training. Yesterday we ventured out to the Cottonwood Trail to run approximately 2 miles. We put Nolan in our jogging stroller and off we went! He slept the whole time, we breathed heavy, and came home feeling optimistic. Despite my sore knee...it was a good start!
Nolan's favorite thing to do these days...watch, smile, and giggle at the ceiling fan! He'd do it for hours if we let him!
O.k. So I've moved up in the world! I'm no longer merely stalking other people's blogs...I'm writing my own! Mark is so proud! Not that I have an extremely exciting life or anything important to say...no, it's merely to show off our very cute son, and keep our family and friends up to date on what's going on in our lives! So here we go!
